Jesus Is My Friend

Jesus is my friend. . .
And I know I can depend,
When the waves of life come in,
I will need Him to defend.

Jesus is my friend. . .
Who lends a helping hand,
He’s strong yet kind to keep me
Until the storms of life end.

Jesus is a freind. . .
That blends life with laughter,
And there shall be singing with Him
And I don’t have to pretend.

Jesus is my friend. . .
Who will turn my night into day,
And who will take me every step of the way,
With each prayer that I do send.

Jesus is my friend. . .
When everything goes wrong,
He makes me feel victorious
until the blessing begins.

He already paid the cost,

I can share with Him when I am sad,

There is no other Friend like Jesus,
He said, "He will never forsake us or leave us!

I see a great motivational verse in my bible study reading today. Mark 7:42 is speaking of how Jesus fed the multitudes with 2 small fish and five loaves of bread. This makes me so inspired to know that Jesus is a miracle worker and when we place something into his care - he can multiply it and magnify it so that many can be blessed. This is a wonderful assurance about Jesus and I will take this with me today just knowing that Our Savior Jesus Christ is able to supply all that is needed if we supply the trust.

Our Inspirational scripture verse comes from 1thessalonians 5:18. In order to have a grateful heart, you must learn to be grateful for flawed people and imperfect gifts. Be grateful for all of the little things, like when your children make up their beds - When your spouse expresses affection, I am grateful that I am still arround and that my body is still working and going strong. Dont wait to feel thankful just do it! and then even more go out and tell others about what you are grateful for! You will be so surprised how your excitment will inspire others who are feeling a little bit down today.

"DO GOOD TO PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP" Our daily inspirational scripture verse comes from the bible. Proverbs 3:27; The thought is:

Be a builder-upper! The bible says; do not withold good.... when it is in the power of your hand to do so. I am inspired to build others up and inspire them by being a good listening ear and sharing some positive insight and positive words. Even when the situation calls for something less than positive - we can be strong and maintain a positive presence by not speaking negatively or doing negative actions. Also, making steps to work towards some positive goals for ourselves actually helps other people arround us as well.

Whenever to take time out to help others; we get a powerful blessing. Just think of how our world and our communities could become so much better by helping others. We can help others by taking time to teach, by giving of our time and resources, and by also helping ourselves become better. I would like to take some time to learn some new skills, so that I can help people to create better projects online. W-O-W!!! Just thinking about these things-- the possibilities are so endless. Be a Builder-Upper!!!

Luke 5:16 In our scripture verse for today we see that Jesus put a great value on prayer. In times of great miracles Jesus always took some special time to go to a quiet place and pray and get focused. That is so inspirational for me. Over the past few months we have celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year and just this month we celebrated the Inauguration of newly elected President Obama. So many high days of celebration and gifts and good times But even in these busy times - I have found that it is a good thing to take some time out for prayer and reflection.

Some of the benefits of quiet times of personal prayer are; more faith, more peace, and a positive experience of the presence of God. No matter how tough the times are; It is so good to know that God is there in the midst of all circumstances to guide and supply and strengthen. Prayer is the connection that believers have with God. To greatly simplify, prayer is conversation with God. It is petition, thanksgiving, praise and gratitude. I have taken a wonderful moment of inspiration today - to remember to include those times of prayer daily to become renewed to continue to do wonderful things in life everyday.

Psalm 91:9,10,11 Today on this chilly day in January I am reminded and comforted by the truth that God is always concerned with the circumstances that we all face on a daily basis. Whether it is sickness or loneliness or economic crisis, We always have God's love and concern. The bible verse that I have cited for my scripture reminder for today speaks of the fact that one can make the choice to make God a refuge and a habitation; and with that have a surety that you will be safe and in a special place of love and understanding in God's care.

In faith, as a vote of confidence of the future blessings to come as a result of residing in that special place of refuge and habitation that is spoken of in Psalm 91, we can know that good things are comming. If it seems like we are in a great storm of confusion and pain. Just know that by faith and also taking some positive steps towards making things better - Things will do just that. Our lives are made better for our good relationship with God and we even feel so much better that our other relationships with our friends and relatives are so much better. I am reminded of a time in my own life where I was going through a tough time and it seemed like things were so rough and there was no hope for things to get better. I was able to get through that tough time because of the faith and rest that came to me from reading Psalm 91 and so many other verses in the Bible.

So for today the daily inspiration is taken from Psalm 91 mainly verse 9. Make the Lord our habitation; a place where we live and rest and treasure his love and protection and provision. This will be our strength in tough times. In those times of rest and trust in God - He makes a way for us. He brings the things we need even through unexpected sources. And somehow things work out. We can also take some inspiration from others who are arround us. Those who help us and encourage us to keep on going. Sometimes we are that inspiration for others who know us. I am going to show a smile today - as a result of being in the habitation and refuge of God -- I have more peace, more joy, more inspiration to share with others. The day will be more fruitful, more blessed because as it says in our scripture verse for today: God is our refuge and habitation. Praise God!
